For over eleven years, I have documented births across Brisbane — witnessing the strength, vulnerability and beauty of families welcoming their babies into the world.
Somewhere along the way, something quietly shifted.
Mothers began reaching for my hand. They looked to me for reassurance. They trusted my calm presence in the room. I realised I was being invited into something deeper than documenting their birth story.
So I became a qualified birth doula.
Six years later, I continue to hold both roles with a deep understanding of birth — combining the art of photography with the support, presence and care of a doula, while always honouring the sacred space I have been invited into.

Whether you are planning a natural birth, seeking comfort through various pain management options, or navigating the challenges of postpartum recovery, I am here to guide you with a calm, nurturing presence.
My goal is to create a peaceful, empowering environment where you feel fully supported in your choices. I work closely with you and your birth team to ensure your vision is respected, and your needs are met, all while fostering an atmosphere of trust, love, and respect. Your birth is a sacred experience, and I would be honored to be part of it, supporting you every step of the way.
The most beautiful support person I could ask for during pregnancy/labour & birth. From start to finish Kay offered her love and support both mentally, physically & emotionally. Kay goes above and beyond to listen to your concerns, answer any questions you may have, offers reassurance when needed and just brings such a positive energy into your birth space. Could not have asked for a more beautiful person to help bring our baby into the world. 🤍

For more than 11 years, I've had the privilege of documenting births as they unfold. Six years ago, I became a qualified birth doula, adding another layer of knowledge and support to the way I care for the families who invite me into their birth space.
Understanding birth goes beyond knowing when to press the shutter. It means recognising the rhythm of labour, respecting the atmosphere in the room, and knowing when to quietly step closer — or when to simply give you space.
While my role is to document your story, I'm also there as a calm, familiar presence. If you need reassurance, a steady hand, or someone who understands the journey you're walking, you'll have that too.

Surrogacy and donor births deserve the same care, respect and thoughtfulness as every other birth story. I understand that these moments can hold layers of emotion, anticipation and love, and I approach each family's journey with sensitivity and genuine care.
In 2025, my work in this space was recognised nationally as I received the Pregnancy & Birth Photographer of the Year award at the Australian Surrogacy & Donor Awards.
If your family is growing through surrogacy or donor conception, your story matters — and it deserves to be documented with honesty, respect and the same love that brought you here.

A birth doula provides continuous emotional, physical and practical support throughout pregnancy, labour and the early moments after birth.
My role is not to take over your birth or speak for you. It is to walk alongside you — helping you feel informed, confident and supported as you make the choices that are right for you.
With years of experience supporting and documenting births, including many home births, I understand the unique rhythm of different birth spaces. Home birth holds a special place in my heart — I understand the trust, preparation and sacredness that comes with choosing to welcome your baby in the comfort of your own home.
As a qualified birth doula, I offer a calm and familiar presence, knowing when to encourage, when to offer hands-on support, when to pray with you, and when to simply hold space.

Yes. My Christian faith is a meaningful part of who I am and naturally shapes the way I support families.
I believe women are beautifully and wonderfully made, and that birth is a powerful journey deserving of care, respect and encouragement. When welcomed, I would be honoured to pray with you, speak words of encouragement over you and support you spiritually throughout your birth journey.
My faith also means showing love, compassion and respect to every family I am invited to serve. I warmly welcome mothers of all beliefs and backgrounds, and my care is always centred around you, your choices and the birth experience you desire.

The earlier the better. Ideally, I recommend reaching out during your second trimester so we have plenty of time to get to know each other, discuss your birth wishes, prepare for your journey and build a trusting relationship before your baby arrives.
Birth support is deeply personal, and feeling comfortable with the person beside you matters. Our prenatal meetings give us time to talk through your preferences, ask questions, explore your options and prepare you emotionally and practically for birth.
I take a limited number of families each month to ensure I can provide the time, care and availability each family deserves, so securing your due date early is recommended.
