BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY · BRISBANE

I photograph birth with quiet respect for the story unfolding in front of me. Every labour is different, every family unique, and every birth deserves to be remembered with honesty and care. As both a qualified birth doula and photographer, I understand when to step in—and when to simply bear witness.

The whole story

Documentary birth

Nothing is staged. I don't ask you to pause, repeat a moment or perform for the camera. I quietly document your birth as it unfolds — the long, quiet hours, the strength it takes to bring your baby into the world, the first cry, and the moment your baby is finally placed in your arms.

Your gallery tells the whole story. Not just the highlights. Not a polished version of the day. The real moments — honest, emotional and deeply personal, preserved exactly as they happened.

A DOULA BEHIND THE CAMERA

A calm, familiar presence

MORE THAN A PHOTOGRAPHER

For more than 11 years, I've had the privilege of documenting births as they unfold. Six years ago, I became a qualified birth doula, adding another layer of knowledge and support to the way I care for the families who invite me into their birth space.

Understanding birth goes beyond knowing when to press the shutter. It means recognising the rhythm of labour, respecting the atmosphere in the room, and knowing when to quietly step closer — or when to simply give you space.

While my role is to document your story, I'm also there as a calm, familiar presence. If you need reassurance, a steady hand, or someone who understands the journey you're walking, you'll have that too.

Whether you're celebrating your pregnancy, welcoming your newborn, documenting your birth, or updating your family photographs — start with the session that's right for you. If you'd like more than one chapter, have a look at the collections.

Head to my booking calendar and choose a date that suits you. For maternity and family, pick your preferred day. For newborn and birth, book around your estimated due date — once your little one arrives, we'll adjust if needed.

Add a few quick details and you'll get instant access to every collection, package and price. Take your time — there's no obligation until you're ready.

A short questionnaire and your booking agreement to sign. It covers everything you need to know, so there are no surprises along the way.

Select it during booking, or take a little more time and decide any point before your session. Any remaining balance is due on or before the day.

You'll get an instant confirmation straight away. Closer to your session I'll reach out to answer questions and confirm the finer details. Then all that's left is to enjoy it.

Your session fee is paid at booking. It holds your date and covers the time and planning that goes into it — and it's non-refundable, because once your date is yours, I'm not offering it to anyone else.
The session fee depends on the session you choose, and you'll always see it before you pay.

Labour & birth

The first hours

Your gallery

Birth photography is a little different to booking a regular session. I accept a limited number of births each month and only one family within each due date window, allowing me to remain fully available when your baby decides it's time to arrive.

From 36 weeks, I'm officially on call for you—day and night. As labour begins, we'll stay in touch, and I'll join you when the time is right, ready to quietly document your story.

Every birth unfolds in its own way. Whether your journey includes an induction, spontaneous labour, water birth, caesarean birth or something completely unexpected, your story is documented with honesty, care and respect.

The first cry. Tiny fingers wrapped around yours. The first cuddle, first feed and the quiet moments as you finally meet your baby. These are often the memories families return to most.

Your photographs are carefully hand-edited in my signature earthy style and delivered in a private online gallery. A timeless collection of your baby's first story, ready to download, share and print for generations to come.

From on-call to first light

How it works

Birth is unpredictable, and that's okay

I've photographed long labours and fast arrivals, planned caesareans and babies born in the stillness of the night. I've witnessed quiet determination, powerful surges, first cries and first breaths. Whatever your birth looks like, I've been in the room before—and I know how to be there without getting in the way.

EVERY WAY A FAMILY ARRIVES

held with care

Surrogacy & donor families

Surrogacy and donor births deserve the same care, respect and thoughtfulness as every other birth story. I understand that these moments can hold layers of emotion, anticipation and love, and I approach each family's journey with sensitivity and genuine care.

In 2025, my work in this space was recognised nationally as I received the Pregnancy & Birth Photographer of the Year award at the Australian Surrogacy & Donor Awards.

If your family is growing through surrogacy or donor conception, your story matters — and it deserves to be documented with honesty, respect and the same love that brought you here.

I am a qualified and compassionate doula dedicated to providing holistic support for mothers during pregnancy and birth. My approach is grounded in faith, empowering women to trust their bodies and make informed, confident decisions about their birth experiences.
Whether you're birthing at home, in a hospital, in nature, or choosing a c-section, I am here to support you every step of the way.

I offer unwavering support, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually, as I believe every woman’s journey into motherhood is unique and deeply personal. Whether you are planning a natural birth, seeking comfort through various pain management options, or navigating the challenges of postpartum recovery, I am here to guide you with a calm, nurturing presence.

My goal is to create a peaceful, empowering environment where you feel fully supported in your choices. I work closely with you and your birth team to ensure your vision is respected, and your needs are met, all while fostering an atmosphere of trust, love, and respect. Your birth is a sacred experience, and I would be honored to be part of it, supporting you every step of the way.

Will you interfere with my birth?

No. I believe your birth belongs to you. My approach is documentary and unobtrusive — I don't direct your labour, interrupt your experience or ask you to repeat moments. I quietly document your story while respecting your space, choices and birth environment.

My training as a birth doula has taught me how to read the room, understand the rhythm of labour and recognise when a mother may need a little extra reassurance. If you reach for me, look to me for encouragement, a moment of support, or prayer if that is something you desire, I will be there — while always honouring your birth space and the role of your chosen support team.
